As in the other editions, the Buy Emilia Romagna 2015 promoted by Confcommercio-Imprese per l’Italia dell’Emilia Romagna and by the Regional Federations of Tourism (Faita, Federalberghi, Fiavet, Fipe) in collaboration with Apt Servizi (Regional Tourist Board), with the patronage of Enit – Agenzia Nazionale del Turismo, has proven to be the most important and qualified event for the commercialization of the regional tourist offer. This year the event confirmes also its special relationship with the City of Bologna, through the involvement of Genus Bononiae. Musei nella Città, Bologna Welcome and, this year, FICO Eataly World.

For this edition, 77% of international buyers came from the European market, 22% from North and South America (including 12 buyers coming from the United States), and 1% from the Asian market.

The turnover of the buyers attending the event was high, as in the other editions (65% of the buyers who participated came for their first time). This turnover has contributed in the last 20 years to confirm the Buy Emilia Romagna as a laboratory to intercept the flows of international tourism, to anticipate the trends for next seasons, and to promote the new regional tourism offer to foreign markets.

After the briefing to welcome the buyers – held in the evening of Monday, April 27 at the Biblioteca Sala Borsa in Bologna – the buyers attended between Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 April, seven two-day educational tours along the region. The educational tours allowed the buyers to know and experience the excellences of the territory enhanced by the regional tourism project “Via Emilia-The Italian Lifestyle Experience” developed by Apt Services for the Expo Milano 2015: from culture to the Food Valley, from the Unesco World Heritage Sites to the Romagna’s Riviera, from the Wellness Valley with its active holidays, from the music to the big brands of the Motor Valley.

The two workshops dedicated to the trading were held on Thursday April 30th at the Palazzo Re Enzo. More than seventy regional tourism operators had met the international tours operators.
The twentieth edition of the BUY Emilia Romagna ended with an evening dedicated to the enogastronomy at the Mercato di Mezzo in Bologna, in partnership with FICO Eataly World.

New “Via Emilia, Experience the Italian Lifestyle”!

BUY Emilia Romagna 2014


L’edizione 2014 è stata all’insegna delle eccellenze regionali  – unendo la tradizione e l’innovazione, l’offerta culturale  e i grandi brand, il mare e l’entroterra, il benessere e il divertimento dei parchi e della Riviera –  che sono state presentate ai Tour Operator internazionali in vista di EXPO 2015.

Anche la ricca offerta enogastronomica emiliano romagnola, con i suoi 39 prodotti tipici DOP e IGP, i vini DOC e DOCG, le ricette della tradizione e la ristorazione stellata, le aziende storiche e gli antichi processi produttivi, è stata PROTAGONISTA nella “vetrina” di questa 19a edizione del Buy Emilia Romagna che si tenuto  dal 27 aprile al 1 maggio a Bologna.

A fianco del “tradizionale” workshop d’incontro tra la domanda internazionale di vacanza (circa 100  buyer accreditati) e l’offerta di un’ottantina di operatori regionali, si è tenuto un momento specificatamente dedicato al turismo enogastronomico, che ha coinvolto una trentina di operatori tra buyer e seller (all’interno del programma sperimentale di APT Servizi Emilia Romagna per il 2014-2015 dal tema “Turismo enogastronomico dell’Esperienza”).

Bologna è stata grande protagonista del Buy anche con i suoi spazi più esclusivi, grazie alla prosecuzione della collaborazione con Genus Bononiae. Musei nella Città, che ha ospitato la sera del 27 aprile il briefing di accoglienza dei buyer presso la Biblioteca d’Arte e Storia di San Giorgio in Poggiale.

The Teatro Comunale di Bologna was the  location of the BER 2012 workshop Waiting for the celebrations in 2013 of the 250th anniversary of theTheatre and the Verdian bicentenary

The 2012 edition of Buy Emilia Romagna took place between the 15th and the 19th April 2012. The tourist event promoted by Confcommercio Emilia Romagna in collaboration with ENIT and APTServizi counted with the attendance of 70 buyers from 19 countries. They have participated to two-days educational tours to experience the culture, the art and the tradition of Emilia Romagna territory and to focus on the workshop on Wednesday 18th April  in the Opera House Teatro Comunale di Bologna .

The different fam-trips were dedicated to the regional art-cities and their surroundings- Bologna, Parma, Ferrara, Ravenna, Modena, Rimini, Reggio Emilia, Forlì-Cesena, Piacenza – presenting their resources, products and opportunities to enrich the tourists’stay in the fields of: culture, food&wine, opera, sports, nature, incentive, congress, sun&beach etc.
